Hyde Park - Original Acrylic Painting

This painting was inspired by a photograph I took in Hyde Park, London, around seven years ago. Even then, I knew that one day I wanted to turn this scene into a painting.

When I finally painted it, I made a few small changes to the original photograph, leaving out some elements and simplifying the composition to capture the atmosphere I remembered. Painted alla prima in acrylic, the work brings back the feeling of the park’s vast open meadows, towering trees, and the cool shadows they cast across the landscape.

Whenever I look at this painting, I can still feel that sense of space and the peaceful atmosphere of Hyde Park.
