Hey! My name is Richard Erdelics, and I'm a self-taught Hungarian artist.

The name Arter was created in 2018 from the word “art” and the initials of my name. That was the year I first picked up a paintbrush, and since then I have been continuously developing my skills in painting.

On YouTube, I primarily create acrylic painting tutorial videos for beginners.
My YouTube channel, Arter, helps absolute beginners start their painting journey and has grown to over 100,000 subscribers, reaching over 18 million total views.

Alongside these, I am constantly working on my studio paintings as well—pieces that you won’t see on YouTube. These works tend to lean toward realism, although I also enjoy experimenting.

As for my subjects, I mostly paint what I personally find beautiful and inspiring—what brings me joy. These are mainly landscapes, as well as floral and gastronomy-themed still lifes.
